Different types of logos

Monogram Logo

Includes one to four letters and is most commonly a business’s initials or first letter.

Wordmark Logo

A wordmark is a font-based logo that focuses on a business’ name alone.

Combination Logo

A wordmark or lettermark with a symbol. The symbol can be on its own or just the wordmark or lettermark.

Brandmark Logo

A brandmark logo is a standalone image or symbol. The mark can be pictorial or an abstract shape. These are best for established brands as they do not include the company's name. For start-ups, consider a combination logo with a wordmark and a symbol. The symbol can be used as a standalone for certain applications, such as social media profile pictures or website favicons.
